Putting it down the road
We have all had a time or two when things didn't go as well as we may have thought it would

Re: Putting it down the road.
My own was in the 80's and a 70mph (120kph) front wheel lockup going into a corner. Fortunately I was able to keep it upright till most of the speed had been bled off but as it was a maiden ride on a bike I built from the ground up so it was a bit hard to take. The front guard had vibrated through the stay and being fiberglass had almost immediately locked the front wheel up. The bike was still raw so no finishing had been done. I had to make or replace a couple of parts and it took a bit of fixing but nothing structural so not as bad as it may have been.

Mate, ouch. But also lucky at the same time.
I've fortunately only come off once when I got rear ended at a giveaway sign. Bit of damage to the bike but nothing major.

Re: Putting it down the road.
Been off more times than I can count on one hand 😂. Usually doing silly things. Worst one probably on the windys north west of Auckland.

I've had a 200 or so metre slide before but thankfully it was a quiet and straight highway so just some scuffed paint and pants 🙏
