Hot weather riding.
Todays temperature was in the 33-34 range and we needed a ride so had to decide what to wear. I have been riding with sweat shirt and leather vest for the last few months but it was too hot even for that so T shirt, vest and open face helmet was the order of the day. I have seen other riders lately and even in this heat they are fully clad head to toe with leathers and full face helmet and I honestly dont know how they survise. I have got one of the Johny Reb denim shirts with the protective gear in it on the way to be a bit more protected than a sweat shirt orT shirt, but simply cant get into my cold weather jacket even with the lining removed and see the full face helmet as a cold weather option.
So how do you all ride in this heat.

Re: Hot weather riding.
Been looking into this myself lately. Klim and a couple of others build some real good “jeans” for summer riding. Don’t go for the Kevlar ones, same as a lined trouser, stinking hot! Klim also make some awesome summer jackets, very breathable with additional vents.
I use Revit Jacket and pants with all the liners out and vents opened up, still pretty warm but I feel protected enough. I’m going to upgrade my gear this year sometime, the Revit does both summer and winter so I’m going to go for separate summer and winter gear.
I use a Schuberth flip front helmet, great vents, I can feel the breeze going through it right around my head (very little hair to obstruct it though 🤣🤣)

I have a shoei NXR2 FF helmet for colder weather but even with all the vents open there is no sense of air flow with no cooling in the hot weather so that is why I went back to the open face. Cold weaather is well taken care of though.

I have a 3-layer jacket, first layer is a detachable quilted warm layer, next is a detachable waterproof layer (the most waterproof garment I have ever owned) and the outer layer is mesh with body armour. Has earned it's keep in Otago and Florida....mix and match!
