Gear linkage for FXDB
Gear linkage for FXDB
Looking for help, I want an adjustable gear linkage rod for my 2013 Dyna Street Bob FXDB. I measure the current one at approx 375mm / 14.75’. Does anyone know where I can buy an adjustable unit that length? Thanks G

Giday G.
Have you got a lathe? As an interim measure you could get a length of 10 - 12 mm round bar, drill and tap each end for the adjusters. I have one here you could have the ends off. It goes to 330 so nowhere long enough for you. I had bought it thinking it looked nice to go on my bike but it is a bit agricultural so just sitting there if you could use it. Even if you were to cut the threaded part off and weld it to a length of rod to get/keep you going in the meantime.

Thanks Vongruff, yes I’m thinking I’ll make one when I’m back at work, might even try some black smithing to look similar to your one. Thanks

I had a quick look online for adjustable ones but couldn't find a single listing. Perhaps a good part for someone to start manufacturing *cough* @VonGruff 😂

A bit busy with other things to start another enterprise atm but not a bad idea for someone with time and capabilities.
