Very nice.
I can't recall if I've asked - do the majority of your knives head off overseas to the States?

Re: Delivering a knife
It used to be about 95% that went offshore but lately there have been many more domestic orders. I am getting this lot ready to go to a shop in Murchison. The owner is a good friend who used to have a shop here in Lawrence and carried my knives but moved up there to be with her man. She has just got her new shop up and running so about the end of the month I will put these knives and a couple of others I have on hand on the bike and ride up there with them.

Re: Delivering a knife
jimping is the gripper grooves across the blade spine. In this pic of the 951 blade I do heavy jimping with a 3/32 file for the thumb and on the nose of the blade (that is up front) I do finer grooves with a 15 lines per inch checkering file. Some think they need the extra grip and in the case of the nose jimping on this blade it may well come into play when holding the blade with forefinger on that part of the blade for caping work where an animals head skin is carefully taken off for a shoulder skin for the taxidermist to do a mount with. I prefer one of my field scalpels but this is just one of the options on offer for those that feel the need for them.

Re: Delivering a knife
Some knives for a local customer with the handles from an old Totora verandah post he had. I cut, oven dried, vacuumed them in resin then pressure forced the intake before baking to cure the resin making for a handle that is not effected by varying atmospheric conditions. There is a pair of 9 inch pro chefs, a pair of 8 inch filleters, a pig sticker, Tahr hunter and a Chamois knife. There is an order for a further 5 knives for him so I expect he is getting them all for family members.
