Forum spam bots

Hi everyone,

You may have seen some spam-looking users signing up and posting on the forum. We're removing them as quickly as possible and are working on full mitigation.

We’re also implementing Cloudflare, which will help speed up the forum at the same time.

Update: We’ve now implemented Cloudflare and initial protections to help mitigate the recent spam activity and improve forum performance.

New user sign-ups have been temporarily disabled while we finalise further anti-bot measures. We expect registrations to reopen within 1-2 weeks once testing is complete.

Final update: full mitigation is now in place.

We’ve completed the anti-bot work and registrations have been re-enabled. The forum should no longer be affected by the spam activity seen previously.

If anything unusual does slip through, please report it as normal, but at this stage no further issues are expected.
